Search "brick cladding tile size" and you'll find a mess of numbers, because cladding tiles aren't one fixed size like a full brick. Bricks Street stocks nine finishes, and the size shifts a bit with each one, mostly in thickness. Here's every brick tile size we sell, and what changes between them.

Quick note before we start: a brick cladding tile is a thin slice, not a full brick. If you need full-size bricks instead, see our wire cut brick size guide.

Notice the length barely moves. Most sit around 220 to 230mm, close to a real brick's face length. Height, the visible strip you see on the wall, ranges from 50 to 80mm. The number that actually changes the most is thickness, from 15mm up to 30mm.

Why Cladding Size Isn't Just One Number

A brick cladding tile is a thin slice off the face of a real brick, so its size depends on how it's cut and finished. A smooth, machine-cut slip like our Classic Terracotta Brick Tile comes in at 15mm thick. A rustic, handmade one like Earth Handmade Cladding runs twice as thick, at 30mm, because the artisan texture needs more depth to hold its shape. Neither size is wrong. Pick based on the look and the wall, not the number alone.

Does Thickness Change How You Fix It?

Yes, a little. Thinner tiles, 15 to 18mm, need a 5 to 8mm adhesive bed. Thicker rustic tiles, 28 to 30mm, can take a slightly heavier bed and hold up well on outdoor walls that take more weather. Either way, plan for 8 to 10mm gaps between tiles for grouting, and give the wall 24 hours to set before you grout.

Brick Cladding Size vs Full Brick Size

Don't confuse a cladding tile with a full wire cut brick. A full brick runs 230x114x76mm and carries load. A cladding tile is a thin veneer, 15 to 30mm thick, that just dresses the surface of an existing wall. See our wire cut brick size guide if you're building a load-bearing wall instead of cladding one.

Terracotta Tiles Are the Same Product

If you've been searching "terracotta tiles size" alongside "brick cladding tile size," here's the short answer: they're usually the same tile. At Bricks Street, the red-toned finishes in this range, like Classic Terracotta Brick Tile and Red Fine Texture Brick, are what people call terracotta. Same sizes, same fixing method, just a color name. We've laid out the full breakdown in our terracotta tile size guide.

Price by Size and Finish

Brick cladding tiles at Bricks Street run ₹55 to ₹150 per square foot, depending on finish and thickness. Thinner, smooth finishes sit at the lower end. Thicker, handmade or textured finishes cost more. See the full brick cladding tile range for pricing on each variant, or check what exposed brick costs to maintain if you're comparing it against a full exposed brick wall.

Quick Answer

Brick cladding tile size ranges from 220 to 230mm in length, 50 to 80mm in height, and 15 to 30mm in thickness, depending on finish. Length and height stay close to a real brick's face. Thickness is what changes the most between a smooth slip and a rustic, handmade tile.
